A rainy day in Balham

It's raining here in Balham today.  We've had a series of late nights so we're taking it easy today.  Andrew, one of our hosts, drove me into Balham this morning so that I could organise a sim for using over here.  I was very happy with the deal I got.  I wanted it mainly for mobile data and for 15 pounds I got a deal for unlimited data, unlimited texts and 300 mins of talk.  I walked home in the drizzle and with an umbrella it was fine.  Although rainy, it's not really cold - just a light jacket is sufficient.
We have exciting news! Fran has organised tickets for us all to be in the audience for a tv show celebrating Cilla Black's 50 years in showbiz - TONIGHT!! Jen is beside herself with excitement being the great Cilla Black fan that she is!
Last night we went out for dinner with James' parents and grandma (86 and still going strong).  It was at an Italian restaurant in Farranden called Little Bay.  Lots of yummy food for very little cost and we were serenaded by an Irish opera singer performing Levi's, Tom Jones and other artists.  It was a fun night, but another late one.  We'd spent the day driving around with Fran which was great as we got to see how everything connects up.  Last night driving home from the restaurant we passed through West End, Trafalger Square and saw Big Ben and Westminster Cathedral all lit up.  Very exciting and pretty. Cathie, I'll make sure we most more photos of us, but you know how we hate being photographed!

  2. Hi girls
Have just caught up on more of your blog and your photos, including those of the moggies and of youse two. Isn't London wonderful - discovering the Monopoly Board and all those places that featured in books we read as kids.
And how was Cilla Black! That was amazing good luck to get those tickets. Glad your b&b is working out well.
